The organization is committed to encouraging individuals in reaching their goals, always treating the clients with courtesy, consideration and respect.

The staff at La Maison au Coucher du Soleil are committed to providing quality care and support in a homelike environment. Our intention is to seek out the best practices and to carry on our daily duties in a professional manner with the hope of making a difference to the adult population we serve. Our values are:

1. Our decisions and actions are resident-focused. We support and encourage each individual to attain their highest functioning level. Our programs are customized to maximize skill development and we strive to facilitate integration in the community.

2. The safety of our residents is primary. Our intent is to create an atmosphere where the residents, staff, families and the community feel safe.

3. Ethics. We value integrity and are true to our convictions. We trust and respect each other in all of our interactions. We welcome individuals and respect their religion, race, language and culture. We believe in each person's right to confidentiality and respect their privacy.

4. We are committed to meeting the individual resident's needs. We maintain high standards in our commitment to care.

5. All staff are recognized as a valued part of our team. We value each other and enjoy working together cooperatively and communicating effectively as we continually strive for the appropriate level of care.

6. Our organization is solid and through excellence in programming, we ensure its sustainability. We manage our resources to ensure the long term viability of the organization for the residents and staff.
